Yummy Christmas Cookies...

These Cookies called Santa's Whiskers (No, we don't do Santa but the cookies....YUM!) Oh they are good! I didn't follow exactly... Who does that? I didn't chill the dough but just used my cookie scooper thingy and pressed them flat...didn't matter to me at all! Did I tell you already they are YUMMY? Oh my! What is everyone else making?
Love to all,
~~Kimberly~~

I'm a terrible blogger....

Wow...another year has flew by...it's hard to believe. SO many things have changed but not the fact that I'm a TERRIBLE blogger, lol. I just can't seem to get the hang of this stuff... I'm very sorry and hope you'll forgive me...pretty please?
Anyhoo, James and I moved into our new home last April...it's still such a work in progress but some progress is better than no progress, right? There's SO much still to do. We're living with lath exposed walls in several rooms, temporary fixes so we can "live" here... ah, the life of a Remodeler's Wife.... All in good time. Patience IS a virtue, right?
Speaking of "Remodeler's Wife"...well, my dearest husband has some health issues... mainly he's dealing with COPD and it is so HARD on him. He's been on treatment for 9 months and recently had meds changed and increased but he still seems to be getting worse and is so exhausted all the time. I feel so badly for him as I know what chronic health issues do to a person. His chosen life profession is NOT helping him. The wood dust and physical exertion are exacerbating his symptoms and leaving him weaker each time. Sooooo, he's got to think about doing something else.... hard to do after working in a field for 30 years and he's so good at what he does and is very talented. With a LOT of praying, discussing and soul searching, I've decided to go to nursing school. I'm going to talk to the college admission officier after the New Year and see what I need to do. There is a year long Practical Nursing program that I'm hoping to do. I'm hoping this will give James the freedom to look into other options for him to do without worrying about how we can pay the bills. My own health has VASTLY improved and I can't tell you how THANKFUL I am for the Lord's timing and provision! I feel GREAT!!! Praise Jesus! I'll let you know how it all goes...
Family Updates: Our son Caleb married a wonderful young lady named Tayler last spring and we are GRANDPARENTS!! Charles James was born in July and he is just the most precious thing! I'm a "Nana" :) Unfortunately, I'm a long distance Nana and that's not quite as fun. We get LOTS of pictures though and I LOVE each one.
We were planning on going down for Christmas but...well, finances :( I've been busy making lots of Christmas gifts and will try to post some things I've been working on later....
I pray you all have a very blessed Christmas, remembering always that the greatest GIFT of ALL is JESUS!
in Christian love,
Kimberly
